MSSTV Episode 1 – What Goalposts do you have for your Music School Business?

What level of the Music teacher’s Ladder are you now?
What level do you want to be?
In this episode Wendy discusses how knowing your starting “level” and your goal “level” helps you set the goalposts firmly and achieve your Music Teaching Career and Business Goals.

Music Teacher Level 9 Icon – You are a legend in the Music Education industry. You are sought after for opinions, advice and partnerships in numerous business and teaching opportunities.

Music Teacher Level 8 Virtuoso – You are removed from most day to day employment and spend your time on big picture ideas and strategies to grow your partnerships, business and teaching opportunities.

Music Teacher Level 7 Director – You oversee several Managers of several locations and many teachers. You may have an administration assistance.

Music Teacher Level 6 Manager – You no longer teach to earn income. You oversee many teachers working for you in one or more locations.

Music Teacher Level 5 Principal – You teach to earn around 50 % of your income. You manage everything yourself and have a growing number of teachers working for you in a growing number of locations.

Music Teacher Level 4 Leading Lady/Man – You teach to earn a large % of your income.
You manage everything yourself, with a small number of teachers working for you in a small number of locations.

Music Teacher Level 3 One Man Show – You teach for yourself to earn most or all of your income. You manage everything yourself in one or more locations.

Music Teacher Level 2 Chorus Line – You teach for someone else to earn most or all of your income in one or more locations.

Roadie – You work outside of teaching to earn most or a all of your income.
If you have started teaching, it is usually for someone else but only to earn a small % of your income.
