Rhys is the director/owner of the Eastern Suburbs School of Music in Boronia and Carrum Downs, suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. He is also a guitar tutor and a music educator for 26 years. Rhys taught in a lot of different spaces, in private music schools, state primary school and as well with refugee group.

 

In this podcast, Rhys mentions the start of his music journey and his a-ha moment with his students, whether the young or the young-at-heart.

 

Rhys is a very well-known person in the music teaching space. Being a music teacher and looking after his well-being, he also has it’s ups and downs. Rhys tackles his one particular challenging time in teaching business and proudly tells how he recovers and what he has learned from that.
