Enrolment & Lesson Policies

Lesson Program Plans
Lessons are booked automatically for every week of the year, however you have the flexibility to choose not to have lessons in holiday periods.

Consistent WEEKLY lessons however provide the maximum motivation, achieve maximum progress and reduce the possibility of boredom or bad habits developing.

All Lessons are paid via a WEEKLY Direct debit from a credit card, through a secure online Banking service.

  • Payments are made  in advance of each lesson.
  • Students can “Reschedule” their lessons online if a minimum of 24 hours notice is given.
  • If an appropriate day and time cannot be found at the time of requesting a reschedule Students can ask their teacher to”Bank” their lessons for them if a minimum of 24 hours notice is given. There is no limit on lesson reschedule or Banking requests although Banked lessons must be used within 90 days.
  • Lessons can be “Cancelled” if the minimum of 24 hours notice is given. Cancellation given with less than 24 hours notice will mean the lesson fee will still be charged as if a lesson was given.

Book a Trial lesson and then enrol for weekly lessons! Register for an account in our booking system, then login and book your time with your preferred teacher.

Wendy’s Music offers a variety of Lessons at various costs.

Lesson fees are the same for all instruments, but vary upon Location ( $2 extra per student, per lesson for In Home) and for Master Teachers ( and extra $6.50 for a Master)

CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION:

In Teacher’s Home Studios, $38.50 per 30 minutes paid weekly

Online Skype lesson from your home, $38.50 per 30 minutes paid weekly

In Student’s Homes ( with an additional $2 per student fee each lesson) $40.50 per 30 minutes paid weekly

CHOOSE YOUR DURATION:

30 minutes $38.50 per paid weekly (studio location)

45 minutes $57.75 per paid weekly (studio location)

60 minutes $77 per paid weekly (studio location)

MANAGE YOUR SCHEDULE

Flexibility to Reschedule, Bank and Cancel lessons via our secure online Booking platform. Minimum of 24 hours prior to a lesson applies.

TEACHER or MASTER TEACHER ?

All Wendy’s Music Teachers have undertaken specialist Teacher training to enable them to provide high quality lessons using Wendy’s Step by Step Teaching System.

A MASTER teacher, is someone who has extremely high qualifications and usually over 20 years experience. Lesson fees for a Master teacher are currently an additional $6.50 per 30 minute lesson.

30 minutes $45 per paid weekly (studio location)

45 minutes $67.50 per paid weekly (studio location)

60 minutes $90 per paid weekly (studio location)

LESSON POLICIES

Cancellations by Teachers

If a teacher is unwell, they will contact students asap and the lesson will deferred/banked and rescheduled within 90 days or in some extreme cases, cancelled.
If a teacher is unavailable the lesson will deferred/banked and rescheduled within 90 days or a substitute teacher may be provided.

Public and School Holidays
Lessons are scheduled every week at the same day and time regardless of public holidays or school holidays. Students who wish to cancel lessons on a public holiday or for school holidays simply login to our booking platform and request to reschedule or cancel. Students can also ask their teacher to BANK lessons for later use.

Lateness
Students arriving late for lessons will not have their time extended as this adversely affects other students.

Payment of Tuition
Payments are made by direct debit from a card via a secure Bank payment system. Books or equipment will usually be purchased separately from our online website.

Please note that tuition fees are non-refundable.

Failed Payments

In the event a direct debit payment fails, there will be a charge of $5 ( due to bank charges,admin time and risk factors). Lessons may also be cancelled if payment is not forthcoming in advance of the relevant lesson or additional Late fees applied.

Payment Reporting

All payments are done via a direct debit service, and through our LMS platform you can always access a report of how much and when you have paid. Invoices and receipts are not issued.

Photo/Video Authority
Enrollment in all Wendy’s Music Programs the Student/Parent/Guardian automatically agrees to allow Wendy’s Music to take and use any photos or moving pictures through the course of classes or performances and to use those items for promotional purposes without laying claim to royalties or rights etc.

Student Performances
As part of our teaching methodology and syllabus, we are pleased to offer all students the exciting opportunity for performance. We anticipate all students at every level will take part in performances on a regular basis to develop their musical skills.

Exam Opportunities

As part of our service we offer students ( when appropriate ) the opportunity to sit for Music Exams with the AMEB and ANZCA. Please consult your teacher for suitability and refer to our Exam info page.

Our Privacy Policy, as outlined below, is for Australian employees and customers only and includes details about the type of information we collect and how this information is used, stored and disclosed.

What information is collected and how is it used?
Customers
Through our schools and official website www.wendysmusic.com.au, customers have the opportunity to purchase our products and services. In order to provide these services and/or download our products we ask customers for some personal and educational information. This information is used for:

  • providing the most suitable service/product for that customer
  • ongoing tracking of student progress
  • providing feedback to parents on their child’s progress
  • administrative and direct marketing communication purposes to continually
  • improve our products and services and customer service levels

What sorts of personal information do we ask for?
Identifying and contact information (name, address, phone, email, DOB etc)
Information about your or your child’s education history, status and abilities
Information about your intended use of our product or service
Credit card or Bank details if applicable for payments.
